We're so happy to share a glimpse into the dreamy countryside wedding of Lizzie and Chris in Kington Langley, England. Lizzie, got ready in our stunning ethereal Isabella Robe, while her bridesmaids rocked the adorable Camillo robe in White with beautiful embroidery. Their rustic celebration was like something out of a fairy tale! Let's have a look:
Tell us a little about yourselves, what you do, what you love, what is unique about you and your relationship?
We're Lizzie and Chris - we've been together for 10 years, lived in Newcastle, Melbourne Australia, Brixton and now in Forest Hill, London. We love spending time with friends in London, food markets, festivals, travel and sport. We crossed paths when he was coaching slalom racing at Sunderland dry ski slope. I was SO bad at it and he definitely wasn’t interested in me, but a few months later we ended up going for drinks . We've recently got back from our honeymoon where we went hiking in Patagonia.
Tell us about your special day, was there a specific theme or style? Tell us a little about the setting, the styling and some of your favourite details.
How did you spend the morning of your wedding? How did you deal with the nerves leading up to the wedding?
Tell us about your main outfits of the wedding day
What items or services did you think were a waste of money? VS what are you so glad you splurged on?
So glad we splurged on our venue – as soon as we arrived there we enjoyed the weekend as if we were guests, and it was all so stunning. The band we had (Saloon) did their own take of ‘Just the Two of Us’ for our aisle song which I wish we had recorded because it was perfect, they got all our guests dancing during the drinks reception and the DJ Live set in the evening was so fun. Our cake got it made my Chris’ sister, which was more special than if we’d got one made by a professional and it tasted amazing. Guests would have had no idea.
Any advice you would like to give to future bride
Try to find suppliers that you genuinely get on with, it makes the whole process of planning your wedding so much more enjoyable. We were so happy with the suppliers we found. The number of decisions you need to make can get quite overwhelming – try not to make your life harder by trying to get everything perfect. Get a few quotes/ideas and then just make a decision rather than mulling things over for weeks on end. Send your invites digitally – its free, and you can make nice looking invites on platforms like Canva Steam your dress and bridesmaid dresses the night before - I didn't, and it was the only thing that stressed me out on the morning of the wedding.
