Tell us a little about yourselves, what you do, what you love, what is unique about you and your relationship?
We both love storytelling so my husband is a videographer and editor, although he doesn't do my content we like to keep work/relationship separate and I love being a content creator working across fashion, beauty and lifestyle. We both grew up in the same suburb in Scotland and even went to the same secondary school although he was a year older than me. We didn't say two words to each other so it definitely wasn't love at first sight haha. We reconnected later down the line in 2013 over our love for London and moving to the big city.
Tell us about your special day, was there a specific theme or style? Tell us a little about the setting, the styling and some of your favourite details.
How did you spend the morning of your wedding? How did you deal with the nerves leading up to the wedding?
I had the best morning of my life! I was surprised at how calm and happy I felt. The room was just so filled with love and my best girls ever. It's like all your little worlds colliding into one room and its pure magic. I hired my talented hair stylist Sam Tolley and collaborated with my favourite makeup artist Amy Conway from Bobbi Brown so there really were no strangers in the room at all. I just remember a lot of laughs, good food, bubbles and silly moments! Unexpectedly my nerves vanished the day of the wedding but the night before I got about 3 hours sleep from nerves haha!
Tell us about your main outfits of the wedding day
So my main dress I went for a gorgeous floor length and BIG dress with the most magnificent train from Trisha Peng from the Halo & Wren studio. The absolute best team to work with btw! It had a transparent corset back detail with tiny buttons all the way down the train. I knew I wanted sleeves but could never find the ones I was searching for so I designed my own custom sleeves with my seamstress to create the dress of my dreams. My second dress believe it or not was from Coast! I went down the route of more expensive dresses then thought in the end I'll be dancing etc in this so it need'nt be eating the budget. I added on a bow and neck tie and got it tailored to perfection. My seamstress really was incred! I even had a third party dress but unfortunately I have no photos whatsoever.... which is maybe a good thing haha...
What items or services did you think were a waste of money? VS what are you so glad you splurged on?
Any advice you would like to give to future brides
Delete pinterest 4 months leading up to the wedding haha! I think you can see so many ideas and comparisons that it stops being useful because there's no time to implement them so eventually it just makes you second guess your decisions
