We're happy to share the story of Abi's stunning Mallorca wedding at the charming Finca Morneta. Surrounded by rustic stone walls, cobbled floors, and palm trees, the day was filled with timeless elegance and personal touches. Abi and her bridesmaids got ready in their beautiful robes! Abi in her Isabella Robe with bespoke embroidery and her bridesmaids in the beauitful Camillo! Let’s dive into her special day and top tips for future brides!

We celebrated under the sunshine in Mallorca at a beautiful Finca - which translates to farmhouse- called Finca Morneta. From the moment we walked into the grounds, we knew it was the one. The Finca is family run and has history dating back thousands of years with most of its original features. We fell in love with its rustic character with contemporary finishing, set between palm trees and mountains. I wanted to feature the Finca's stone walls and cobbled floors throughout the wedding, I loved the organic feel it gave. Eating dinner in front of the villa underneath the garland lights was everything I dreamed of. I leant into the Finca's natural beauty with ethereal styling through earthy tones, linen and delicate wild florals. I created all of the stationery and decor myself and have an eye for detail, so enjoyed making all the little touches throughout. Our tambourines I personalised myself, they were such a hit with our guests, they held onto them all night! I especially loved my married name embroidered on my MEEKA robe sleeve, and my husband had my new initials on his shirt cuff to.

How did you spend the morning of your wedding? How did you deal with the nerves leading up to the wedding?

I spent the morning at our villa with my bridesmaids, mum, mother-in-law and sister-in-laws. After a lot of discussion, we chose to spend the evening apart to build the excitement for the day. It was also nice to have a sleepover with my mum. My bridesmaids were blown away by their MEEKA robes personalised with their initials. I felt mostly calm and tried to soak in all the precious moments drinking bubbles and having a laugh with my besties. We had a pre-wedding event which helped get some nerves out the way. There is no denying the lead up to the wedding is stressful, I tried to be as organised as possible so that I could enjoy our time in Mallorca before the wedding. You have one chance to make this the time of your life, so embrace it.

Tell us about your main outfits of the wedding day

I spent the morning in my MEEKA playsuit and matching robe, which made me feel so so special. I loved how the robe complimented the cobbled bridal area in my getting ready shots. My wedding dress and veil was from Made With Love, and I added cuff sleeves onto my dress. My veil I hand embroidered with our grandmother's names so that they were there with me every step of the way. Jewellery was gifted by my husband from Lily & Roo. My shoes were Jimmy Choo's, I decided to splurge for one day! For my evening outfit I had a Self Portrait mini sequin dress, however I was having so much fun I didn't want to leave the party to put it on!

What items or services do you recommend saving or splurging on?

Splurge on your venue, not only investing in the building but the people to, they will help bring your dream day to life for over a year. A beautiful venue will require less dressing and decor in the long run. Also, your photographer and videographer - they are so important to capture your day and hold the memories you don't remember for the rest of your life. We have received so many compliments on our photos and videos. We saved money on our cake as we knew our guests would rather party than eat it. We also saved hugely on decor as I sourced or created it all myself. Invest in a Cricut - you will save thousands

Any advice you would like to give to future brides?

Have at least an on the day wedding planner - not just a venue coordinator - to run your day and look after you so that you can fully embrace it without worrying about a thing. Leave more contingency time than you think for each part of the day, it will most likely take longer. Delegate one of your bridesmaids to have your phone and capture all the candid moments throughout the day (especially the dance floor). Inevitably there will be a lot of opinions around your special day and people letting you down - stick to your gut, try not to please others, embrace those who are supporting and bring you happiness, and remember it is your special day. On the day you will not care about those small details you panicked over. Breath, be calm, present and soak in every moment.
