Tell us a little about yourselves, what you do, what you love, what is unique about you and your relationship?
Tell us about your special day, was there a specific theme or style? Tell us a little about the setting, the styling and some of your favourite details
The wedding took place in Milos, Greece at a cute hotel called Psaravolada. The setting was absolutely beautiful on the edge of a cliff by the sea. We didn’t have a specific theme in mind in was mainly around the colour scheme which was dusty blue, white and navy. It was important for me to have a wedding that was elegant and minimal
Tell us about your main outfits of the wedding day
Getting ready : I was wearing a white Meeka KARA robe while my best friend and the mothers were wearing the same robe but with blue flowers one it that complimented the colour scheme of the day super well.
Ceremony: My ceremony dress is actually off the rack as the dress I was suppose to wear didn’t fit me anymore after alterations. So I got a Jenny Yoo dress from Selfridges and it fitted like a glove. It is very sleek, elegant and minimal which I love. It is definitely a timeless piece. My veil is bespoke by Rebecca Anne Designs. It is written ‘Je t’aime mon amour’ on it which is a sentence Olivier and I always say to each other with floral details. The shoes are from Jonh Lewis from a brand called Paradox. I am also wearing Mejuri earrings.
Evening look: For the evening I change into a Daily Sleeper feather dress to be able to move around a bit more. I also swapped my veil for another Rebecca Anne Design creation this time written ‘Home is where you are. St-Eustache Xi’an Quebec Paris London & more to come’ which are all the cities we have lived in together. I matched this dressed with a handmade bag by Jacquelement and some cute white sandals
What items or services did you think were a waste of money? VS what are you so glad you splurged on?
Service wise, our wedding planner was such a great investment. They really helped us. Additionally, I want to give a special shoutout to our photographer and videographers that made everyone feel so comfortable
Any advice you would like to give to future brides?
I would say do the wedding you want. Not the one your family wants. We at first started planning a weedding in our home country Canada with more than 60 guests (which is far from everyone we ’should’ have invited) and it didn’t feel like us. We wanted something abroad and more intimate. It disappointed some family members but at the end of the day, our day was perfect and represented us and our love. This day is for you and your futur husband so keep that in mind
